Jane Godsland is Editor-in-Chief of The Lancet Child & Adolescent Medicine. Following her PhD in genomics and gynaecology from the University of Cambridge, she began a career in medical publishing. After many years as a peer review editor at The Lancet, she helped launch The Lancet Respiratory Medicine in 2013 before moving to lead the new paediatric journal. Her research interests include early onset scoliosis, adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, and the pulmonary and thoracic effects of the condition.
Jane has a long family history of scoliosis, including a brother whose S-curve was corrected with a Harrington rod over 20 years ago. Jane acts as Chair of the Grants Committee.
