Mr. Noordeen was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic and spinal surgeon at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in 1995, as well as the Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square. He did his undergraduate training at The University of Oxford, orthopaedic training at Middlesex Hospital, UCL and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospitals.
Professor Noordeen’s fellowship training was in spinal surgery in Minneapolis and Seattle, USA. He is a professor in spinal surgery, KUM, National University of Malaysia, and visiting professor University of Columbia, Missouri, USA.
He has presented at national and international meetings on spinal surgery and published papers on spinal surgery. He was previously on the executive board of the British Scoliosis Society and is a committee member of the Scoliosis Research Society in the USA.
He is a tutor on training the trainers committee. He is actively involved in both undergraduate and post-graduate teaching with students from University College London. He is an associate editor of the SPINE journal.
Mr. Noordeen is a fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association, The British Scoliosis Society, The Scoliosis Research Society, The British Scoliosis Research Foundation, and the Cervical Spine Research Society. He and his wife also found and support a family-run educational institute for Tsunami affected children.
